Activa customer service team leader is shortlisted for BVRLA Hero Award

Julian Okoronkwo has been shortlisted by the BVRLA to receive a 2016 Industry Hero Award, following his success at Activa over the past 12 months.

Since Julian started working at Activa as a customer service executive in October 2014, he has worked tirelessly to become one of our best performers. Now a team leader, Julian oversees a team of customer service executives to ensure a high quality service is consistently provided and is also heavily involved in the development of processes which enhance Activa’s overall customer service. With his efforts recognised by some of our clients, Julian is now their preferred primary contact for day-to-day enquiries and he continues to exceed their expectations.

Karen McCarthy, Customer Services Manager, who nominated Julian for the Industry Hero Award said: ‘Julian gives passion, enthusiasm and commitment to the customer every time. His driven and empathetic approach is a very rare quality to find.’

Sales and Marketing Director, Lisa Temperton, was also in support of the nomination for Julian. She said: ‘We are very proud of Julian’s achievement and continued development since he joined us. He personifies the very qualities at the heart of our customer services and internal support teams; dedication, consistency, friendliness and attention to detail.’

In response to being shortlisted by the BVRLA, Julian said: ‘When I was made aware that Activa wanted to put me forward for the award and the reasons why, I was shocked. I didn’t think I was doing anything above or beyond what was expected of me; I just thought I was doing my job. When I received confirmation that I had been shortlisted I was positively surprised again. I view it as a great achievement for both me and Activa.’

Julian will be attending the BVRLA Annual Dinner in London on Thursday 3rd March, where the Industry Hero Award will be presented to the winner.

Good luck Julian!
